Terms and Conditions

- Tickets can be purchased by credit card or cash and the full amount is payable at reservation.

- Validity of a balloon flight ticket is maximum 1 year. After this period the ticket will expire.

- Children must be at least 120 cms tall/12 years old.

- If, due to weather conditions, the flight duration is less then 30 minutes we will refund 50% of the paid ticket price. All flights with a duration of more then 30 minutes will be considered as complete.

- Participants at balloon flights need to follow the instructions given by pilots and staff of Oriental Balloon Flights Co. Ltd. at all times. If participants do not follow these instructions, they can not take responsibility for any damage caused

- All passenger balloon flights will be performed according to their policy and safety code.

If you cancel ...
When you cancel your reservation for any reason, Oriental Balloon Flights Co. Ltd. will charge a cancellation fee and refund as follows:

30 days or more - 100% Refund
8-29 days - 50% Refund
7 days or less - No refund

Rien Jurg Promotions BV has over 15 years experience in ballooning all over the world and employs experienced hot-air balloon pilots of the highest standard.

Oriental Balloon Flights Co. Ltd. offers a once in a lifetime experience in a hot-air balloon over the north of Thailand. We fly daily during the dry season, from middle of October till the beginning of March .

Their office is in Chiang Mai, just a short 15-minute drive from the city centre. Next to their office 'The Floraville Oriental Balloon Club' is the balloon launch site.

Passengers can enjoy a cup of coffee while the balloon is being inflated or are welcome to help the crew with the inflation under the pilot's supervision if they would like to.

With the first rays of sunlight the balloon will lift up from the ground, gracefully and slowly. Moving along at wind speed the balloon is part of the climate of the day. The view of things earthbound is surprisingly detailed. There is no better way to see the beauty of Thailand than by a gentle free-floating balloon flight over the mysterious countryside. Flying over the wide plains of the Ping River Valley we can enjoy the breathtaking panorama view of mountains and terraced rice paddies. The many beautiful temples are also typical for the Chiang Mai area. The view of the earth and the sky is one which can be experienced in no other way.

After a beautiful flight of approximately one hour, we will land wherever the wind will bring us. We will enjoy a champagne style breakfast served at the landing site.

All passengers will also be awarded with a flight certificate by the pilot as a remembrance of your flight with Oriental Balloon Flights Co. Ltd..

The complete adventurous experience will take about 4 hours.

In windy or otherwise marginal conditions the pilot will postpone or cancel the flight. Safety is always the prime consideration, but generally Thailand can boast ideal ballooning weather and flights seldom need to be cancelled.
