This hotel is perfect for visiting the special places of Munnar, including the Eravikulam National Park and other top spots of this idyllic patch of mountains. In fact the Mermaid Munnar came into existence originally more than 100 years ago and it wasn?t until recently that the government of Kerala came into management of the property. Subsequent to that it was taken over by the private sector. Rooms include such fabulous details as British style fireplaces, wooden ceilings, and period features while some of the rooms are all in the new wing of the hotel that was built to accommodate the increasing rush of tourists.
