Situated at the southern end of Es Cana, this resort is surrounded by a Mediterranean palm and pine forest and magnificent gardens. Just 350 metres from the sheltered Cala Martina beach, the hotel offers a wide range of water sports including windsurfing, sailing, catamarans, diving, and surfing, as well as sun loungers for those who just want to relax. Visitors should take a day to discover the old town of Ibiza which was built in 1554 by King Felipe II to protect the citizens from pirates. Its walls were so well built that now it is one of only two fortifications in Europe that has its complete original structure. When pirates were caught, they were hanged on an island between Ibiza and Formentera called Los Ahorcados (the hanged) and visitors with a taste for the macabre can travel to the island if they desire.
