Chiang Dao Nest 2 Day Treks - Anek's Trek

Chiang Dao Nest 2 Day Treks
ANEK21) Anek's Trek - 2 Days 1 Nights
Most people only go on one trek in North Thailand in their lifetime. We make sure yours is special.
The top section of one of the waterfall's
Highlights

- Stunning mountain views
- Serious trekking
- Visit two beautiful waterfalls
- Camp in the forest, far from civilisation
- No tourists go here

This trek is definitely not suitable for all.
This Trek has been devised by Anek, a Lisu man from Ban Pha Suay.
Anek is a village Government representative and an excellent guide and will lead these treks.
The emphasis on this trek is firmly on the nature walks, and the outdoor adventure.
Please note that Anek speaks very little English, however people who have been on this trek have commented on how that added to the adventure. They have also said how much they enjoyed his personality and the evening interactions around the fire.
Availability: - Available daily - October to May (it might be possible outside this period- please ask)
Private Treks* - maximum 8 people
* When I say private treks it means they are arranged as private treks. If you book a trek but are happy for others to join I can note this and will mention it if I get enquiries. I cannot guarantee others will join so you need to be prepared to pay the price it is for just you and your friend(s) / family.
Departs from: Chiang Mai or Chiang Dao
Good levels of fitness/ agility are required.

Itinerary:
Day 1
7.30am - 8.00am
Get collected from your Chiang Mai Hotel / Guesthouse. (only applies to trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)
9.30am
Breakfast at Chiang Dao Nest (only included for trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)

10am
Leave Chiang Dao Nest. We will then drive for just over an hour to Lisu Ban Pha Suay (Beautiful Sky Village).

On the first day we will walk to the nearby forest in the heart of the National Park, where we will visit a beautiful waterfall, and continue hiking through the forest to another bigger and very beautiful waterfall, deep in the forest.
At night we will will be camping in tents near to the waterfall. Great meal, Camp fire and rice whiskey, cards will be the order of the evening. Approx 4-5 hours walking during the day.

Day 2
We will walk through the forest for a further 4-5 hours , lunch enroute, to a Karen Village where we will meet our car for a drive back to Chiang Dao / Chiang Mai in the afternoon of day 2.

Please note:
the English spoken on this trek will normally be very little and occasionally none at all. The emphasis for this trek is on the outdoor adventure, hiking, and getting away from it all. We employ local guides from the Chiang Dao area who's English is mostly non-existant. We pay them well, as we want the local residents to benefit from the visitors. While they cannot speak English, they do know the way, know how to look after people and will communicate in other ways. It seems to work out ok for most people but we understand that this will not be suitable for all.
