Chiang Dao Nest 2 Day Treks - MT21

Itinerary:
Day 1
7.30am - 8.00am
Get collected from your Chiang Mai Hotel / Guesthouse. (only applies to trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)
9.30am
Breakfast at Chiang Dao Nest (only included for trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)

10am Leave Chiang Dao Nest . Drive for about 30 mins to the starting point, hike for 2 hours uphill to Gu Jay Dee, followed by a further 3 hr uphill hike to Doi Sam Phi Nong (Three Brothers Mountains). Stop for a well deserved lunch before continuing on to Ang Salung is a small campsite for the night. (gets quite a few Thai people on Thai holidays and at weekends - on occasions can be quite a party! other occasions there is no -one around at all - it is a largish area) At about 5pm we will walk up to the summit for what can be a stunning sunset then back down for dinner. Sleep overnight in tents.

Day 2 Up at 5am to walk to the summit to (hopefully) view the sunrise then back down to Ang Salung for breakfast. 8am leave to walk back down to the same place where you started walking on day 1 and driveback down to Chiang Dao Nest.
(takes from 4 to 6 hrs, depending on the pace of the group).

Afternoon transfer back to Chiang Mai (for those departing from Chiang Mai)

Please note: the English spoken on this trek it will normally be very little and occasionally none at all. The emphasis for this trek is on the outdoor adventure, hiking, and getting to the top of a beautiful mountain. We employ local guides from the Chiang Dao area who's English is mostly non-existant. We pay them well, as we want the local residents to benefit from the visitors. While they cannot speak English, they do know the way, know how to look after people and will communicate in other ways. It seems to work out ok for most people but we understand that this will not be suitable for all.
