Chiang Dao Nest 3 Day Treks
MT32 -Mountain Trek - 3 Days 2 Nights
Most people only go on one trek in North Thailand in their lifetime. We make sure yours is special.
On top of the world (or Doi Luang Chiang Dao anyway!)

Highlights
3 Days 2 Nights 1 Mountain!!
- Demanding hike
- Abundant nature
- Walking
through a variety of landscapes
- Hike to the top of a mountain 2245m
- Explore the peaks
- Overnight camping
- Stunning mountain views

Availability: - available November 1st until March 31st.
- private treks (daily) and small group treks (Mondays - max 8 people).
Departs from: Chiang Mai or Chiang Dao
Good levels of fitness/ agility are required.

Itinerary:
Day 1
7.30am - 8.00am
Get collected from your Chiang Mai Hotel / Guesthouse. (only applies to trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)
9.30am
Breakfast at Chiang Dao Nest (only included for trekkers departing from Chiang Mai)

10am Leave Chiang Dao Nest . Drive for about one hour to the starting point, hike for 2 hours uphill to Gu Jay Dee, followed by a further 3 hr uphill hike to Doi Sam Phi Nong (Three Brothers Mountains). Here we will have a well deserved lunch before continuing on to Ang Salung which will be where we camp for the night. At about 5pm we will walk up to the summit for what can be a stunning sunset then back down for dinner. Sleep overnight in tents.

Day 2
This trek allows for a day in enjoying the nature/ environment at the top of the mountain and hiking up some of the other peaks (without having to carry too much!). A 2nd night of camping

Day 3
Up at 5am to walk to the summit to (hopefully) view the sunrise then back down to Ang Salung for breakfast. 8am leave to walk down to Chiang Dao Nest. (can take from 4 to 8 hrs, depending on the pace of the group).

Afternoon transfer back to Chiang Mai (for those departing from Chiang Mai)

Chiang Mai City Life Article
For a piece I wrote about for a magazine about going up Doi Luang Chiang Dao (not exactly the same trek as this but gives some idea. Others, who are fitter than me, have done the hiking in less time and found it much easier than I did!) click here
