Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach We were there for two days, and ran away from this hotel in case of a very unclean room. The first room, we ve moved into, was with broken toilet. We ve moved to the other one, it was a bit cleaner, but the toilet seat was unclean, and got yellow taint on the inner edges. The curtains were unclean too with big brown and white spots (gosh, we don t even want to guess, what were that). The towels got mouse-bite on the edges. Well, that was an unpleasant experience, but, as I was on Samui for the second time, we ve moved into Samui Natien, and got a nice, clean room with a pleasant and helpful-in-every-cause staff. |
Booking is OK. Thanks to Sawadee.com. |

Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach For those, who come to Koh Samui to have a relaxing holiday the hotel is a good combination of price and quality, although the rooms would be looking better with a renovation, the waterflow in the shower is not good enough but that is a common thing on the island as far as we have understood. The rooms were cleaned every day, which was great but the bed linen looked old, as well as the towels. I assume they had been used for quite a while before. I would not recommend the hotel for people, who are looking for luxurious accomodation and top quality service, though I must say that the hotel pictures here match the reality so you don t stand a chance to find smth. unexpected when you arrive there. We did not have breakfast at the hotel and I cannot comment on it but just a small tip for guests: they don t have a buffet breakfast, and would have to order it from the reception desk. The pool is quite big and that is an advantage. Overall I would rate this hotel as good but nothing special. |
perfect as always |

Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach It is a very so-so hotel i must say, the room is just very basic include all other facilities like reception, and so on. The pool is the only thing that is nice and another positive thing is that hotel locates on the northern Chaweng which is more quite and just next to the beach. I found other hotels close by more tempting to stay, next time i will pay some more to stay at other hotels. You may also need 10 minutes work to the center Chaweng area. |
Work fine as it used to be. |

Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach The hotel was so-so only but staff friendly & helpful, food fresh & cheap. Nice swimming pool, good location! We couldn’t get the seaview room nor hut hence stayed in a garden view room. Verdict : NOT fantastic [probably a Sea View room or hut might be better choice, there was no telephone in the room, therefore no room service, poor shower]. |

Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach On a positive note, the owners have clearly invested in the swimming pool, which is very nicely done and looks attractive in the photos on the website. It is a shame that the same cannot be said of the hotel rooms which are very tired indeed. We stayed upstairs with (so called) Garden View. The garden was a patch of neighbouring wasteland that looks set for development. The decor was non-existent and funiture especially drab and cheap. The shower room, though functional, was basic to say the least. The restaurant area is sparse and featureless and did not seem to attract any evening diners. The location is ok, but overall, The Palm Island needs to be at least 25% cheaper to represent fair value for money. |
Whilst there was no problem with the booking service, I resented having to pay 100% up front for a hotel that I wanted to leave after a few days. |

Palm Island Hotel, Chaweng Beach first of all. there was a confusion when we first check in. sawadee did not fax them our payment even though sawadee already charged my credit card. the hotel staffs treated us with attitudes. they said it s not their responsibility to call sawadee and confirm these things but ours. luckly, about an hour later, everything is straighten out. secondly, the seaview rooms in this hotel are misleading. the rooms are facing the sea, but you cannot see the sea. the view is blocked by the garden and the pool. therefore, seaview is pretty much the same as gardenview. other than that, this hotel is alright. the rooms are a little old. but at least you are not surrounded by little flies when you are eating in the bar or hanging around the pool |
