Monika's Ocean View Villa is a charming hideaway on a knoll above Lamai within the confines of Tamarind Retreat Villas & Spa. Tucked away in an orchard of tropical plants and trees, the 500 m² plot is in the middle of a coconut grove that overlooks Lamai Bay. The hill, gently sloping down towards Lamai Beach, is planted with bougainvillea and orchids. Without compromising its privacy, MOV shares the compound with other guarded villas.

The villa is an ideal retreat for a couple that enjoys watching birds and butterflies from the comfort of a nature-porch's hammock while listening to cicadas, tokay-geckos and singing frogs.

Nevertheless, the vivid beach life and the array of Lamai's restaurants, bars and shops are just a few minutes' walk away. In addition to the ever-inviting sea, the beachside swimming pool at the nearby 'Buddy's Beach Restaurant' offers every kind of pool comfort.

In a separate section of the Tamarind Retreat Villas & Spa development - within walking distance of the villa - is Samui's most famous tropical Spa: "Tamarind Springs". It features herbal steam, a variety of massage treatments, Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung classes in a unique tranquil setting.

The villa has been purposely designed without air-conditioning for not to minimize the experience of living truly within nature. Electric fans and a prevailing, gentle breeze guarantee physical comfort. From August 2006 on the bedroom will be provided with air-conditioning.

The villa's 25m² bedroom has a king size double bed and an en-suite bathroom. An additional shower/toilet (both with hot and cold running water) is next to the equally sized living room. The entire villa is lovingly furnished in contemporary colonial style.

A modern, spacious and fully furnished kitchen with a granite working counter connects with the dining area and leads onto the recreational deck. From there, a flight of steps leads into the rock garden.

MOV has its own access road, parking space and entrance gate. A night watchman guarantees the guests' safe and undisturbed sleep. The villa is serviced twice a week. Pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, beach- and bath towels, bed sheets, bed spreads and dish towels are provided.
