Ban Raya is a resort on the island of Racha Yai which is situated 23 kms. South of  Phuket island, on the south west coast of Thailand. Racha Yai is a beautiful unspoiled and  unsophisticated island. The ideal place to get away from places which are busy tourist destination. There are no roads and hence no traffic. It is a small island so walking is easy  and enjoyable.

Our resort is situated 2 minutes by walk to two lovely snorkeling & diving beaches ( Ao Ter & Ao Konkare ) and 10 - 15 minutes to the two big white sand beaches ( Ao Baktok & Ao Siam ) where the boat anchorage.

Ban Raya has 38 rooms situated in a beautiful tropical coconut garden. All the rooms are well-constructed and high standard of cleanliness. We offer two types of rooms: 6 standard electric fan rooms and 32 superior air conditioned rooms, all the rooms have own bathroom, mosquito screen and balcony. None of the rooms are more than two minutes walk from the seafront (Ao Konkare). In Ban Raya Resort you can enjoy your own privacy far from the crowds.

The restaurant offers Thai, Chinese and European cuisines. You can enjoy fresh seafood cooked to your preference.

On the cliff, at south - east side of Ban Raya you have amazing view over the Andaman Sea. Racha Yai Island is one of the most beautiful tropical islands in the world with fantastic beaches and unspoiled coral reef. Racha Yai island is situated 23 kms. Southwest from Phuket shore. It take only 30 minutes by speed boat or 1.30 hours by diving ferry boat from Phuket, Ao Chalong pier. The western part of the island is part of 2 big sandy beaches and eastern part is place of 2 wonderful coral bays.

Around Racha Yai Island there are more than 10 dive sites. Some of them you can just pack your gear and walk in crystal clear water and lots of things to see.

Racha Yai Island is also famous for game fishing. Tuna, rainbow runner, wahoo or sailfish. Lots of them are around the island. You can hire a boat for fishing with full equipment or try go out with local people for native fishing style.
