Dramatic cliffs drop off into the Atlantic Ocean as you approach the seaside conservation village of Scarborough. Nestled against a stunning mountainous backdrop with breath-taking views, this streamlined haven is what every surf shack wants to be when it grows up. The sophisticated, minimalist design allows for every creature comfort, but perhaps most luxurious of all is the way it dissolves the boundaries between the home and its unique setting at the edge of the majestic Cape Point Reserve. This contemporary, 5 bedroom, multi-level home has been designed specifically for relaxation in light, open living areas. There are clever breakaway spaces; a private veranda flowing from the abundant master suite; dining areas both indoors and out; a reading nook beneath the trees; a plunge, pool on the front deck; a Boma (fire pit in a comfortable and beautiful space); and a daybed on the lower deck - the perfect space to stretch out, relax and do absolutely nothing. The master bedroom on the upper level is a luxurious space with sliding doors leading to its own west / sea facing deck - panoramic view! There are two bedrooms on the middle level with access to the tranquil back garden and south facing deck. On the lower level, there are two bedrooms containing two single beds in each bedroom; a second kitchen, living room and outside open deck. The lower level is seperate from the main house. Access is by a set of stairs ont he outside of the property. The "apartment" is ideal for kids, young adults; or adults wanting a small degree of detachment from the rest of the property. The sea views are spectacular and it has its own deck and barbeque area. RELAX • REVITALISE • RESTORE Namaste exudes peace and tranquillity! From the off street parking, in through the steel gate and straight up the stairs onwards is all yours!! We are available by email and phone at all times, but we are also just around the corner should you need us to attend to anything in person. Scarborough is remarkable on so many levels!! A truly good bunch of people live and play here. There are extensive mountain walks accessible from foot paths just up the street. The beaches are sublime with excellent surf breaks and a favourite kite-boarding spot when wind permits. The Village Hub is a perfect one-stop-shop just 2 minutes walk from the house. It has a gorgeous restaurant with excellent food and views for early evening sundowners. It houses a coffee shop; a deli with freshly made meals for those on the run; Cape Point Bakery breads and Franz's micro-brewery. You will hear languages spoken from all around the world on a daily basis. It buzzes! The Camel Rock right next door does fish braais, burger nights, a Tuesday night market, live music and a beer garden. A total win! Then there's the Whole Earth Café which is only open during the day - best breakfasts ever! If you take a walk to the end of Scarborough beach you'll hit the Cape Point Reserve game fence - sometimes you will get to watch the Bontebok up close, or ostriches and sometimes even zebra. Two Cape Leopards have recently been released into the reserve - they haven't been spotted yet, but we're keeping a look out for them. You can get anywhere in the village on foot, and within just a few minutes. You definitely need a vehicle for getting further afield. Public transport is not a strong point in Scarborough, but you can get an Uber with some careful planning. Every now and then the baboons move through the village. They are closely monitored by the baboon monitors who will soon have them back in mountains. Close doors when they are around ... they will soon get bored and move on!
