The villa covers only 2000 sq-feet of the 50,000 sq-feet private compound. The entire garden is studded with Casuarina trees (ಗಾಳಿ ಮರಾ), mango, coconut, cashew trees, palm trees, and a wide variety of plants.
Villa 2, our newer duplex offering finished construction in December 2022. When you enter the ground floor of the villa, you are welcomed into the living room where there is sufficient seating with stone slabs and armchairs and drinking water in clay pot that you might typically see in local Konkan homes. The living room connects to the mini-kitchen which includes an induction/gas stove, kitchen drawers, cutlery cabinet, kitchen sink etc. It also includes essential cooking utensils and basic ingredients.
The spacious bedroom has a king-sized bed with a comfortable mattress with bedside table, working table with chair, wall mounted wardrobe, ceiling fan, clothes drying rack, room darkening shades, and others.
The living room of the villa also has stairs which lead to the first floor of the villa which has the second bedroom. The second bedroom of the villa has an attached toilet/bathroom and a balcony. The master bedroom on the first floor includes all the amenities of the ground floor bedroom. Additionally the master bedroom also has an attached balcony overlooking the villa's garden and has two arm chairs.
Basic facilities are available in the villa including: fresh towels, bed-sheets, quilts, shower-gel, shampoo, tooth-paste, tooth-brush, hair dryer, mosquito repellents, first aid box, clothes drying stand, refrigerator, induction stove, clean cutlery/utensils, waste disposal, and so on. Hot water is accessible on both floors. On the ground floor, hot water is heated in the traditional way of wood burning that will be maintained by Ravi, our caretaker.
There are two bathroom/toilets, one on each floor. The bathroom/toilet have a western toilet/commode, a shower area, with hot water, and a wash sink/basin installed with premier fixtures.
A few benches and hammocks are also setup outside the villa for you to enjoy the outdoors.
The villa is ideally suited for six guests, extendable to eight with additional mattresses.
You will be sharing the 50,000 square feet of large private area only with another villa.
Parking is available in the villa free of charge.
You can contact Shaila (via phone) who stays in Bangalore at reasonable hours for all help like guidance and tips to plan your itinerary etc .
The caretaker, Ravi is the 'go to guy' at the villa to facilitate smooth check-in and everything else. Generally he will be available between 7.30am to 9pm at the villa. He can be called over phone also in case of need at anytime including at night as he lives nearby.

The villa offers you respite from the over-populated tourist areas of Gokarna while still being close to the centre of Gokarna. It is around 7 minutes by walk to the Dubbanashashi beach, an upcoming tourist neighbourhood of Gokarna.
The villa has ample parking in the huge open space.
Taxis, autos and motorbikes on rent can be arranged upon request for sightseeing.
Public transport to the villa:
The villa can be accessed by cabs, auto rickshaws and also via busses available from Gokarna.
