Backpackers Basecamp has 02 beds on sharing Each bed priced at Rs.650/Night with bed and breakfast(free wi fi) . Perfect accommodation for Backpackers and travellers coming to Kolkata to stay on short transit stay. Not fancy or luxurious but modest.
We would like to tell you a bit about ourself and the accommodation you are trying to book for yourself. Our Kolkata Backpackers Homestay has two rooms and the room you have requested to book is Basecamp room and it is a "Shared Room" with 02 beds.This is a homestay and not a hostel or guest house so you get a chance to stay with an Indian family in a quiet neighborhood rather than in a touristy hub yet we are located very close to the city centre and all tourist places(one metro stop away).We offer bed and breakfast with free Wi Fi, a modest bed and filling home cooked food from my mothers kitchen. The room is called Basecamp because the room is ethnically designed and stores our personal travel stuffs like tents, hiking poles, hiking jackets and stuff, it used to be a a travel workplace which later has been designed to accommodate guests on short transit stays due to growing demand and popularity of our accommodation.

2.Clean Hygenic Western Toilets with Tissue papers/toilet rolls.
3.Simple filling home cooked breakfast.
4.24 hours wi fi at all areas.
5. Travel planning and ticket booking assistance.
Hot water served separately in bucket and not running.
What you don't get:
1. Towels-Please bring your own towels and toiletries.
2.Laundry services at home, we can show you Laundry places around.
3.Running hot water from shower, hot water is provided by an electric immerssion heater in bucket.
Rooms at Ground Floor with rooms and patio-garden.
No access to kitchen except for cooking classes
We live a quiet neighbourhood very close to the city centre and about 10 minutes walk away from Netaji Bhavan Metro Station.
Metro station is 10 minutes and city centre and all majpr tourist places are 1 to 3 stops away.
Victoria Memorial, St. Paul's Cathedral, Nandan Cultural centre, Academy of Fine Arts -one stop away.
Park street -Cemetary, Indian Museum, New Market-Three stops away.
Kalighat, Mother Teresa's Volunteer Home-Missionary of Charity(Nirmal Hriday) one stop away.
If your flight is arriving at midnight and you want to checking-in at the intervening night of say for example 8th and 9th January at 02:00 am you need to book the room for 8th Night as well and the reservation would be accepted for booking from 8th Night and would not be counted as checking -in for 9th since the accommodation for intervening night arrival has to be blocked the night before.
We have a little request from our guest friends, if you haven't departed from you home country kindly bring us some stickers from your back home, not necessarily flags but something local and indigenous, we love to have small souvenirs !! :)
