Located inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve, this cosy jungle lodge is the coveted destination for wildlife enthusiasts and eco-tourists. It was opened by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. It is just 1 km from the Thekkady Junction. The classic style architecture of the lodge and activities like canal tours, sunset tours, Cherai Beach tours and Kochi Darshan tours make this property a very popular one.
Forbay Dam and Tribal Museum (Kumily) are at 2km, Periyar Lake and Spice Garden are at 3km, Crusoe Island is at 4km, and Ottakathalamedu View Point is at 8km.
The property is 4km from Kumily Bus Terminal, 114km from Kottayam Railway Station and 154km from Madurai International Airport.
