Our Barong villa is a majestic mosaic of vibrant colors, intentionally designed in tandem with sacred geometry to activate the Artist within. What story stirs inside of you, What passion project is pulling at your Spirit? Barong will help you draw it out so that your gifts can be shared with the world.
Perhaps you’ll start your day with a meditation in your private garden, to the calming sounds of the trickling pond that glistens under the rising sun. And in the afternoon, as you reach for the sweet harvest of passion fruit that grows abundantly by the vine year-round, the playful flutters of red dragonflies might inspire a new poem or journal entry. Then later, perhaps you’ll prepare a meal for friends in the open, spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. And in the evening, as you retire to your bedroom loft and peer into the unobstructed view of Bali’s watercolor skies, you’ll feel, in that moment, that the sun is setting just for you.
BARONG is located inside the exclusive 1111 ALCHEMIST SPACE compound. There are only five private villas behind the 1111 Blue Door ;). You’ll receive a key to our front gate and to your private unit upon check-in.
Each guest will be added to a dedicated Whats App group chat specifically for each unit, which will be available for 24-hour communication with our staff. You’ll be able to use this thread to request services, order food from our café, or ask any questions you might have throughout your stay.
BARONG is part of our 11:11 Alchemist Space, which is brilliantly located in the heart of Penestanan, just minutes from UBUD center. Within a few steps from our entrance, you can find the best local restaurants like Zest, Tyger, Alchemy, Yellow Flower Cafe, BGS Coffee and the latest and very best in town ALCHEMY YOGA & MEDITATION CENTER is just around the corner.
The 11:11 ALCHEMY Space is surrounded by pathways that can take you for peaceful strolls along rivers and rice fields, including the famous Campuhan Ridge Walk. No matter where you go though, you’ll be reminded that this world holds vast abundance and beauty.
And if you’re driving a car or motorbike, we’re very conveniently located near Bali’s most notable areas, as we’re at the heart of the island here in Ubud:

This property is a rare gem, the same as the other 9 houses located inside the 1111 Alchemist Space compound. We are situated in Penenstanan, one of the best locations near the center of Ubud. Still immersed in the jungle, these houses offer a unique island experience, the stunning tropical island landscapes of Bali are home to a thriving wildlife and to a collection of crawly creatures. Wake up to the sound of the birds, listen to the frogs and typical Bali Geckos, you might see some insects, or creatures you are not use to, don’t worry, more likely they will be more afraid of you.
The open floor plan with wide windows and doors are meant to give the feeling of the typical island outdoor life, breathing the fresh air, and bringing in the unique sounds of Bali’s heart… Ubud.
At most houses of this kind, and unlike overseas buildings, ceilings are high and walls have no insulation, the glass windows are thin and there is no rubber around the frames to contain the temperature inside. The original structure was built over 20 years ago, and during the last renovation in 2020, we added the best air conditioning units on the market, in an effort to please our most demanding guests, yet due to the preservation of the original structure, the AC might not work as expected for most folks used to modern homes.
