Not a stay but an EXPERIENCE. A truly unique riverfront villas in East Bali. Three 150-year-old wooden local huts were redesigned with Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic. We boast the breathtaking views of the Telagawaja River Valley, rice fields, Mt. Agung and jungles as far as your eyes can see! The property is a world-famous Bali Swing spot, and the best setting for phenomenal photos. The space ABOUT: Vaikuntha consists of 3 villas which are truly unique perched on top of the cliff along Telaga Waja River, in Muncan village, Bali. Our residence, re-built 150 years old Indonesian traditional house is on two floors, comprises a huge open-air living & dining space; 2 master bedrooms; a big open-air well-equipped kitchen. This large, spacious, 140 sqm. (approx. 1,500 sq. ft.) all teak wood house with two story roof line provides plenty of rooms with natural air circulation while maintaining intimacy and privacy, with all living spaces, bedrooms and bathroom oriented to the panorama. LUXURY DISCLAIMER: Please note that although our home is absolutely beautiful and super cozy, it is not a typical 'luxury villa' where everything works perfectly all the time. Also, as you can see in the pictures, the villa is very open to elements, and some of you may not find it ideal. We and our staff will do our best to take care of any issues as quickly as possible. If you were highly sensitive to wild creatures, we would not recommend to stay here. LOCATION : Vaikuntha is located in Muncan, a small village in East Bali which is about a 90-minute drive from Bali Airport and a 45-minute drive from Ubud. Muncan is not yet a recognized touristic destination unlike Ubud, but this beautiful small village, which is sometimes called "Next Ubud" will guide you to the taste of old good Bali which cannot be seen in developed touristic places. It's just 5 minute drive to well-know Sidemen village. MEALS: If you needed a vegan foods, halal, or had allergy against any specific ingredients, please let us know upon booking because we can manage to respond to each customer's request. Western Breakfast per person is included in the price, up to max 4 pax. The owner of Vailuntha opened a Western restaurant 5 min walk from the villa in Feb.2022, so you can chose to have breakfast either at the restaurant or in the villa. If you would like to book a romantic dinner, the restaurant will serve you upon reservation. Please contact our staff for details. SWING: The swing is to be shared by the 3 villas commonly. We built the swing paying utmost attention to safety under supervision of a professional contractor, but we request guests use it at their own risk. The villa management cannot take responsibility for any accident or damage caused by usage of the swing. POOL: The infinity jungle pool is located in the realm of "Biji Valley" that is our sister restaurant, 5 min of flat walk from us. Our guests can use the pool for free at their own risk from 8am - 5pm. SIGHTSEEING AROUND: Besides the incredible riverfront scenery and the indigenous culture, Muncan is also surrounded by a lot of famous tourist destinations. Some of them include; Lempuyang Temple (The Gateway to Heaven), Besakih (The Mother Temple of Bali), Tirta Gangga Royal Water Palace, Telaga Waja River for Rafting, Amed Diving Spot, and Bias Putih the Virgin Beach. INTERNET: -We offer pocket WIFI to our guests. Due to our location, the Internet is not the fastest and there may be occasions where it’s not working. Please keep this in mind. The speed of internet is out of our control, so please do not claim us about it in your review (please!) -When it comes to infrastructure of internet, Bali's Telecom still need to improve a lot. Wifi sometimes does not work at all for a long time, but it is out of our control. We would appreciate your understanding. AIR CONDITIONER: Vaikuntha is not equipped with air conditioners, but no worries at all. You will never need aircons in this villa situated in the high mountain a
