Villa Padi Karo (Villa on the Rice) - Bali Description
The Villa conjures notions of long, languid days living in cool comfort within the rustic village of Mengening. With mountain, ocean and rice field views, enveloped by lush traditional rice farms .The Villa is tailor made for an extended family or group of friends looking for an exotic experience where staff will look after your every whim within the compound walls.
From the moment you enter the traditional carved wooden Balinese doorway at Villa , you realise that this is a special family getaway. The gardens will captivate you immediately with neat stone and pebbled pathways flanked by opulent flowering heliconia, giant torch ginger and fragrant frangipani trees. Stunning tropical accents are on display with crimson Bougainvillea, adenium and hibiscus flowers. Ponds are full of darting goldfish and crowned with beautiful lotus flowers. Then there is the 15 metre long, two meter deep free form pool, which is surrounded by more than a dozen seating options from pool loungers, outdoor dining, a recessed bench and hand carved day beds plus café-style arrangements. Guests are quick to realise that Villa can easily accommodate eight people with complete privacy and discretion. Two traditional Balinese bales – or raised cushioned pavilions - are perfectly placed to take in the stunning view over the adjoining rice paddies and sea breeze. Here is the place to kick back and read or relax by the pool. The two-level villa has a functional kitchen located near two outdoor dining areas – one under a sun umbrella and another undercover by the large staircase.
The villa has three large bedrooms all with king-size beds and a twin room. All bed with mosquito net. Privacy is abundant for family and friends looking to enjoy their holiday time while maintaining an exclusive retreat. A large pavilion is tucked behind the pool (private) area and has formal dining for eight people and a large living space with sofas and comfortable seating plus cable television and music. Three of the four walls are glassed with flyscreens and retractable creating a traditional open-living space that is delightfully old-style Bali design.
Smoking is only aloud in garden area.

The beauty of a stay at our villa is that you will be living amongst the Balinese enjoying delightful creature comforts while observing the traditional culture, which prevails here. Unlike much of southern Bali, this area is not over developed while having a clutch of vocational rentals and ex-pat compounds. Guests here are lucky to have rare insights into the daily agricultural and religious activities of the Balinese. Talk to the staff about any ceremonies that may be coming up during your visit. You will always be welcome to such events and would not be considered an intruder
