Villa Sari is a beautiful 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom villa with an amazing view on the mountains and sawah's.
Make this villa your home away from home.
The villa is an open space with the living room, kitchen and utility room there. Because of the large roof overhangs, there is not much sun in the house, so it is always pleasant to stay.
The bedrooms are closed with a shower and toilet adjacent to each bedroom.
The whole villa is available to guests depending on the number of rooms that you have rented. If you have rented 1 room, the guest rooms will be closed, but there will be no other guests during your stay in the villa.
We live in the Netherlands ourselves, but there is always staff around the the villa in the daytime and in the evening there is the night watch. The manager of the villa lives nearby and you can reach her by phone for everything you need.
General information about Lombok the island of the 1000 mosques
Lombok, also known as Nusa Tenggara, consists of several small islands, including the three Gili Islands. Partly because of this, Lombok is a varied destination.
The fact that Lombok is a true paradise is reflected in the climate. Throughout the year it is on average 30 degrees on the exotic island. Moreover, the water temperature is very pleasant with temperatures above 25 degrees.
Mosques
Lombok is often referred to as the island with 1000 mosques. (I think there are many more) Despite the fact that the indigenous Sasak population of Lombok is predominantly Muslim, the island also has much Hindu and Buddhist heritage. Before the 17th century, the majority of the island was Hindu. They are currently the minority. The loudspeakers are not only for a call to prayer, but are also used when someone is getting married, has died, a call for cleaning and everything else. They don't have a newspaper, so it's done this way.
Beaches
Just above the main island of Lombok are the paradise-like Gili Islands. The water that surrounds the three bounty islands is azure blue. Moreover, the coastline consists of pearly white beaches where the palm trees await you. Because of the tropical water temperatures you will find endless coral fields and a vibrant underwater world underwater. Hundreds of species of tropical fish can be spotted in the water.
More quiet beach destinations can be found in the south and southeast Lombok. There are also many islands where you can snorkel beautifully. If you want to get away from the tourist part of the island, check out the islands in the east.
Climb a volcano
Mount Rinjani is at 3726 meters the second highest volcano in Indonesia and is located in the national park of Lombok. The volcano is the must-see of Lombok and it is therefore a multi-day hike to reach the top. Various treks are offered, the by far most popular guided tour takes three days and two nights.
Interior
The vast majority of tourists who visit the island of Lombok limit themselves to the coasts and the volcano. But inland there are endless rice fields, dense jungles and beautiful waterfalls. Traditional Sasak villages can also be found inland. The original inhabitants of Lombok are the Sasak, who make up 85% of the total population of Lombok. In such a community, the houses are still handmade with bamboo and reed.
Public transportation on Lombok is the Bemo. This van is used for everything, both for passenger transport, but also the newly purchased fridge or a load of coconuts can be transported in it. Most tourists are transported by taxi and it is also very easy to rent a scooter.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed with an open plan bathroom and separate toilet. The second bedroom also has a kingsize bed with an open plan bathroom and separate toilet and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds with an open plan bathroom and separate toilet.
The kitchen and living room are open plan (80m2) with extra sunshades.
