Sasara - Gero Description
This ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is built on high ground, and has an artistic interior with a charming atmosphere of antiquity. From the open-air Japanese cypress wood bath, guests can gaze out at the town of Gero and the Hida river. The Sasara Building offers stunning nighttime views, while the Moriyama Building features lovely Japanese-style rooms. Detached, freestanding rooms are also available.
From Gero Station (JR Takayama Line): About 15 min on foot; about 3 min by taxi.
By car: Exit the Chuo Expressway at Nakatsugawa IC and continue along Route 257 for about 50 km (about 60 min). Located near the Mori intersection, Gero City Office, and Gero Post Office.
