Gora Hanaougi Madoka no Mori

 

 

 

 

One of the three inns from the Gora Hanaougi Group, the Madoka no Mori provides its guests with a traditional Japanese feel. The tatami-laden rooms and surrounding trees all add to the ambience.
[Hot Springs]
All rooms have open-air baths in addition to the large communal bath and open-air bath.
The large communal bath draws water from a source different from that of the guest room baths.
There is an open-air bath surrounded by trees as well as a neyu lying bath.
[Facility]
The entire hotel features tatami mat floors, and a design that centers on a circular motif.
The front desk features a zelkova wood counter. Farther in is a lounge with a hearth, around which guests can enjoy sipping a cup of coffee.
Look forward to unwinding at the Kodama bar, which offers a space much like a hidden retreat. Head past the earthen door on to the spacious counter, and take your pick from the drinks available.
On site are two ganban'yoku (stone sauna) rooms with a 45-minute reservation system.
There is also an aesthetic facility, Mori, which is surrounded by a forest. There are rooms with services exclusively for couples.
[Guestrooms]
All rooms non-smoking.
Depending on the type of guestroom, guests may be served meals at the room or the restaurant.
A set of Amanohada shampoo, conditioner and body soap and Sasawashi natural pig hair bristle toothbrush are provided in all rooms.
In addition to yukata, there will also be a samue (work clothing of Buddhist monks) provided. It is made with a double layer of gauze fabric, which is gentle on the skin. It absorbs perspiration well, and is comfortable to sleep in. The garment is also sold in the hotel.
[Meals]
Savor a monthly Kyoto-style kaiseki meal featuring dishes prepared with premium grade Hida beef, vegetables from Hakone, and fresh seafood from Odawara.
