First founded in 1948, this is a classical hotel where guests can enjoy the fantastic view over Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji. All guestrooms look out onto the lake, and Mt. Fuji can be seen from the garden. A dock can be accessed from the shore to experience the lake even more closely. Renovated in April 2010.

From Hakone-Yumoto Station (Hakone Tozan Railway): Take a bus bound for Hakonemachi/Motohakone-ko and get off at the Motohakone-ko bus stop (about 40 min). It is about 15 min on foot from there. (Shuttle service available)
By car: Exit the Hakone Shindo at Ashinoko-Daikan IC and continue along Prefectural Route 75 for about 1 km, then National Route 1 for about 3 km (about 10 min). Head towards Hakone Shrine.
