Located approximately 70 kilometers away, Matsumoto Airport offers domestic flights and is the most convenient option for travelers. Upon landing, you can rent a car or take a shuttle bus to Hakuba. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, winding through picturesque landscapes that showcase the stunning beauty of the Japanese Alps. Alternatively, you can opt for a private transfer for a more comfortable and hassle-free experience. If you're flying internationally, Narita International Airport (NRT) and Kansai International Airport (KIX) are the primary gateways to Japan. From Narita, you can take the Narita Express train to Tokyo, then transfer to the shinkansen (bullet train) heading to Nagano Station. Once in Nagano, hop on the Alpico Express bus, which provides direct service to Hakuba and drops you off close to Sennin cabin.
