From Kagoshima Airport: About 50 min by bus at around JPY 1,200 (as of Oct. 2008).
By train: Take the JR Nippo Main Line to Kagoshima Station.
From Sakurajima Sambashi (pier): Take the Sakurajima ferry and get off at Sakurajima Port. It is 8 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Kyushu Expressway at the Satsuma Yoshida IC and continue along National Route 10 and Prefectural Route 16 to Sakurajima Sambashi (40 min). From there take the ferry to Sakurajima (15 min). It is 8 min on foot from the port.
