Located in the center of the old castle town of Karatsu, this ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is close to the main sightseeing destinations. Guests can soak in the natural hot spring baths such as the open-air cypress bath. With a history dating back to the Meiji era, this former home of a coal mine owner welcomes guests to relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere, and taste the delectable fresh seafood from Genkai and locally harvested vegetables.

From Fukuoka Airport: Take the Subway Chikuhi Line bound for Karatsu or Nishikaratsu to Karatsu Station (about 10 min). It is about 15 min on foot or 5 min by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Nijo Hamatama By-pass at Hamasaki IC and continue along Route 202 for about 10 min (7 km) towards Karatsu Castle.
