From Kumamoto Airport: about 70 min by taxi.
From Bungo-Taketa Station (JR Hohi Line): about 20 min by taxi.
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Yufuin IC. From the Mizuwake-toge pass, take Prefectural Route 11 (Yamanami Highway) heading towards Kumamoto area. After passing the Makinoto-toge pass, at the Senomoto intersection, turn left towards the Taketa area and proceed for about 7 km. Turn right after passing the Kuju Hills Hotel on the right side. About 40 km (about 50 min) from the IC.
Due to snowfall during the winter period (Dec. - Feb.) roads may freeze over.
When arriving by car, please use equipment such as tire chains, studless winter tires, etc.
For guests arriving by rental car in the winter, please select cars equipped with winter tires.
