Tabitabi Stay Kawam is novated from a traditional Machiya which acomodates aa max number of five tourists. Located between Kamo-river and Takase-river, that's the name, Kawama, comes from. On the second floor, there is a specially-built independent balcony facing to Kamogawa. When you open the window, you could enjoy the breeze from the Kamokawa, watch the duck swiming, observe the daily life of the residents, to feel the charm of the mother river "Kamogawa" Kyoto. The design is based on the traditional Japanese style. We use traditional Japanese crafts and elements such as wallpaper made of tinfoil and traditional tatami. We also retain the original properties of the machiya, and at the same time, the convenience of the space-using and the modern equipments are well considered in the house. A reinterpretation of the Machiya, not only to meet your occupancy needs, but also satisfy you a comfortable and enjoyable environment. The first floor of the hotel is the Kawama-cafe, which provides hand-made light snacks, coffee and Japanese tea. Our geusrs could have he delicious and nutritious breakfast set for free. You also can enjoy the food in the house as a good starting of the day of the journey.
