This is the only hotel by the Taishoike Pond, located in front of Taishoike bus stop. This is the best place to take pictures or to walk around to appreciate the beautiful scenery of this area. The scenery at dusk and at dawn is exceptionally beautiful. Enjoy a meal at the restaurant which looks out onto the pond and Mt. Yake.

From Matsumoto Station (JR Chuo Line): Take the Matsumoto Railway Kamikochi Line bound for Shin-shimashima and get off at Shin-shimashima Station (30 min). Then take a bus bound for Kamikochi and get off at the Taishoike bus stop (60 min). Immediate access from there.
By car: Exit the Nagano Expressway at the Matsumoto IC and continue along Route 158 for 35 km (50 min), and on to Route 158 for about 20 min. At the Sawando Parking Lot, transfer to a shuttle bus or taxi.
