Established 370 years ago, Tokiwaya Ryokan is a traditional Japanese-style hotel located at the heart of the Nozawa Onsen area. Guests can look forward to soaking in natural hot springs. Free Wi-Fi connection is also available in some parts of the hotel. The Oyu open-air bath, a symbol of the hot spring town of Nozawa Onsen, is just 10 meters away.
The hotel is 90 minutes by bus from JR Nagano Station and 15 minutes by bus from JR Togari-Nozawaonsen Station. The hotel has a parking lot free of charge. The Jigokudani Monkey Park can be reached via direct bus in 1 hour.
Guestrooms are equipped with an LCD TV, fridge (with free bottled water), air conditioning unit, low table, floor cushions, tea set, and a private bathroom (with bath tub).
During their stay at Tokiwaya, guests can spend some time in the quiet library, have a relaxing foot bath near the entrance, and enjoy some locally brewed beer at the bar. Coffee is served free of charge every morning at the lobby. Free use of laundry machine and tumble dryer.
Enjoy a traditional Japanese-style breakfast in a private room in a restaurant within the premises. If a request is made in advance, a Western-style breakfast may also be prepared.
