Naruko is famous for a legend about Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who was a warrior in the 12th century, and Oku no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to the Deep North) written by famous poet Matsuo Basho. This ryokan was established 225 years ago and offers natural hot springs that have delighted innumerable guests for years.
