Standing on the bank of the Sumon River is this wooden 3-story lodging. Its authentic Japanese inn, Ryokufukan (Ryokuhuu-kan), was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. It features natural sodium mineral springs.

From Higashi-Sanjo Station (JR Shin-etsu Main Line): take a bus to Yagigahana Onsen (about 40 min). From there it takes about 30 minutes on foot.
By car: Exit the Hokuriku Expressway at the Sanjo-Tsubame IC and continue along Route 289 for about 40 minutes (25 km). Follow the hotel signboard along the road.
