About 3 hours from Tokyo to Akita Shinkansen to Tazawako station. It is approximately 30 minutes by car from there, arriving at Hotel Grand Sky in Tazawako Onsenkyo. Tazawako Onsen is also the hiking trail of Akita Komagatake. There are plenty of sightseeing spots in the surroundings, such as the foliage of autumnal leaves, the Hiratakiri Valley and the Hachimantai National Park where alpine plants are in full bloom and the Kakunodan that feels like the castle town. It is an inn you want to be a base for sightseeing.
