A glamping facility that serves as an off-grid disaster prevention base has been created using a MUJI hut. The distributed grid will be equipped with solar panels, storage batteries, and a wastewater circulation system, and will be Japan's first non-transmission line facility that uses only renewable energy. The Shirahama school building is located on high ground and is not affected by wind, so it is still designated as an evacuation site. By taking advantage of this geographical advantage, we will create a ``distributed grid'' of MUJI huts that will be added this time.In normal times, we will operate it as an accommodation facility for customers who want to work away or work remotely. At times, we make full use of the facilities we have and operate it as a base to provide support to local residents (disaster victims). This is the first facility in Japan that combines an abandoned school, disaster prevention, and power plant, and is unique in the world.
