Towada Municipal Utarube Campsite faces the eastern shore of Lake Towada and is located in Towada-Hachimantai National Park, where deciduous broad-leaved trees such as beech, Mizunara, and maple trees spread out. The site is surrounded by trees, giving it a bright, forest-like atmosphere. The east side of the site faces Lake Towada, and you can enjoy canoeing and SUP from the site. There are tourist spots in the surrounding area, such as the Yasumiya district with its maiden statue and the Oirase Gorge, so it is easy to plan your trip starting from this campsite. Open fires are strictly prohibited on the site, but fire pits are available for rental in the management building. Firewood, charcoal, fire starters, and lighters are also sold, so you can enjoy a bonfire without bringing your own equipment. Please spend a relaxing time at this campsite, rich in nature, where the chirps of wild birds echo well through the forest and lake.
