From Yamagata Station (JR Yamagata Shinkansen) East Exit: Take the Yamako Bus bound for Zao Onsen and get off at Zao Onsen Bus Terminal (about 40 minutes). About 7 minutes on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Yamagata Expressway at Yamagata-Zao IC and continue along National Route 13 for about 40 minutes (15 km), then the Nishi-Zao Kogen Line for about 20 minutes (10 km).
