A house built with pieces of an old traditional village house, and reconstructed in a traditional Minangkabau architecture. It has an ample kitchen space and deck to watch the sunset and sky. Very easy walking distance to the salted swimming pool. (Only one pool is shared by 5 guest houses)
Durian Runtuh is malay for Falling Durian. It also has a dual meaning windfall... or good luck.

There are 5 guest rooms and a campsite all within our compound of one acre of land with gardens, a sing shared swimming pool and deck space for relaxing.
Feel free to walk around our grounds to enjoy the garden and views and also up and down the road to enjoy our hillside.
Please note that Pets (dogs and cats) are free roaming on our land. They live here and we will not chain them up or confine them. Coming to stay here is tacit acceptance of this
You can access all of the grounds and gardens and pool area. Owner's home and other guest houses are off limits. We will leave you to your privacy but if you want to chat you can find us near the pool where the owner's house is
We leave you mostly to yourself but are on hand for any queries or problems. Our family home is beside the pool. We sometimes speak to guests also but we leave that to you and value your privacy
We are in a very rural hillside environment with no shops or restaurants for several kilometres. All around you are trees and sky, birds and bugs, rivers and wildlife. You can take a walk around the hill to soak in the views or even get a guide to bring you into the rainforest for a swim at the river.
We are only accessible by private or hire car. There are no busses or trains coming up to this corner of the universe. We can however arrange a driver to pick you up from the airport of the nearest town, Seremban.
You should definitely try a walk into the rainforest and a swim in the river. Highly recommended
