Sethsiri bungalow is situated very close to Mawella beach. It is a heritage colonial manor house in a working coconut plantation surrounded by bountiful nature. All 3 bed rooms have ensuite washrooms , hot and cold water and airconditioning. Easy access to the house from the Matara -Tangalle road even with public transport. You can rent the villa on a self catering basis or with a chef.
There is a stunning 15 m swimming pool with a beautiful outdoor dining area beneath the bougainvillea.
A truly unique setting nestled in nearly 6 acres of private splendid mature coconut plantation right next to the 3km beach stretch. You will feel completely emersed in nature.
The garden is host to the dawn chorus of the peacocks that reside here , monkeys squirrels iguanas . In the evenings you can sit under the bougainvillea for sun set and watch the parakeets come home and the bats head out . It’s a truly Magical space for beach and nature lovers alike.……….…
There are three ensuite double bedrooms with air conditioning and ceiling fan and mosquito net.
There are two living rooms with day beds (children accommodation) and an extra wash room. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen with all mod cons.
There is a private 15 meter pool. There is a lovely seating/dining outside area adjacent to the pool under the bougainvillea!
It is 1.4 Mt deep throughout so children should be supervised..
Sethsiri has its own private access gate from the road and private access to the pristine Mawella beach less than 200 meters away from the house. Private secure on site parking.
There are cooking facilities at the house should you want to cook in house. Else our team are happy to shop for you at the local market and cook your meals on request for a small fee.
For larger groups it is possible to book CJ’s House (sister House 4 ensuite doubles plus 2nd private 10mt pool) located on the same plantation. Private parking. ( groups up to 20 )
Guest can access whole house and whole garden. Also can join sports like cricket , boccia, badminton, and carom .
Caretaker always helpful with cleaning and any thing you need. Also if you need to make BBQ he will find the firewoods.
The beach is almost like private beach.
House is situated in a easy access from main road so even with public transportation few meters away. Seaplane 1 km away. Hambantota Airport One hours drive. Colombo Airport 3 hours drive. Yala national park 2 hours drive. Galle1 1/2 hours. Hiriketiya surfing beach 10 minutes drive.
If young coconuts available in trees caretaker will offer you .
