A lovely modern studio home, this brand new apartment is amazing!

The apartment is surrounded by nature, elevated, full of light and has wonderful open glass frontage that lets light in and let’s you feel lost in nature with an epic sense of space and peace.

This is a turnkey home with kitchen, dining area, work space, lounge area, sleeping area with ensuite shower room with WC. It also has ceiling to floor windows and a large private balcony that looks directly out across our organic food garden and valley and town below directly at the erupting volcano.

If you want a smart modern home in nature with million dollar views and all the amenities and assistance you need to live and work, this is for you! Ditto an awesome private safe base.

On our property we also have available:

- An exercise platform with exercise bike, free weights & bench, yoga mats & blocks, skipping rope. We are on a mountainside so trails are your running machine and elliptical equivalents here! This is free to use but needs to be booked.

- A weekly maid service (clean plus towel & linen turnover) which you can book for a surcharge.

- A laundry service (surcharge). Please note that we do not offer ironing!

- Breakout spaces in nature (by ponds, in the lavender field, in the garden) where you can work, explore or relax.

- Organic food garden lots available.

- Footpaths around our site perfect for walking meditation, or exercising.

- A self-service shop that stocks quick-cook frozen meals which are freshly prepared by our kitchen and that contain as much organic ingredients from our garden as possible. We offer both a vegan and an eat everything range. Simply take to your home, heat and eat at your convenience.

- Airport transfers (surcharge applies).

- Breakfasts (surcharge & must be booked the day before).

- Free Wi-Fi in public areas such as the cafe/co-working terrace.

- Power back up packs if you need them incase of power cuts (rare).

- A terrace where you can invite people to co-work, be among others (unless they are avoiding others!), host a talk, eat breakfast, host a class. Please ask if you’d like to host anything.

- Office desk space in case you want to work outside of your home occasionally.

Our team monitors and is available via the agoda App to help guests between 9 am & 6 pm.

As per our house rules we do not allow infants, children or parties and pets are not allowed.

Located in the mountains of Antigua Guatemala in the neighbourhood of El Hato, a key destination for those wanting the best stays in nature and amazing views of the volcanoes, and to be outside of the congested historical centre of Antigua, but with easy access to it.

The El Hato neighbourhood is about a 10 minute drive uphill from Cerro De La Cruz in the historical city centre.

Here, you have a spectacular view of the volcanoes and the city centre of Antigua Guatemala. We are also a few minutes walk from a great yoga studio, and you are another 10 minutes drive up the hill to Hobbitenango.

The best way to move is to drive up the hill and then explore the typical local countryside style neighbourhood on foot.

This is one of the residential homes at Finca El Tambor, Antigua Guatemala and parking & taxi's go all the way to the main property entrance.

The mountain has a variety of hiking trails and spectacular views.

There are 2 restaurants each less than a 5-10 minute walk if you prefer not to cook or purchase meals from the residents' shop.

It is best to drive here and then explore by foot. There is free street parking at the pila subject to availability on arrival or a paid carpark.

GETTING HERE:

This private home is located within the property Finca El Tambor listed on Go.ogle Maps (we are NOT on Waze).

As you arrive to the entrance of Finca El Tambor, park at the pila or in the carpark. Enter Finca El Tambor on foot following the concrete road downwards. At the end of the concrete section is the residential accommodation entrance where you will see signposts to Contenta. Follow the signposts!

We are in the country/mountainside so pack for glamming - exercise shoes, backpack, relaxed clothing.

Parking is a few minutes walk up/down a private road to your home. You cannot park directly at your home as it is accessed via a pedestrianised path. Please pack using soft backs or backpacks instead of suitcases with wheels as the terrain can be tricky for wheels.

Parking is free for residents of stays of 28 nights or more.

Parking for short stay guests is free on-street parking subject to availability on arrival or paid parking in the local carpark next door (q50 in cash to the owner per 24 hours of your parking stay).
