Taxenbach’s Sportpension Sonnhof offers spacious rooms that are individually furnished and come with a balcony that has mountain views. They also feature wooden furniture and a private bathroom, and Wi-Fi is available free of charge. A breakfast buffet is served each morning and is included in the room rate. Sonnhof’s restaurant serves food until 20:00, and drinks are available until 22:00. A garden with a terrace and barbecue facilities can also be used on site. The ski regions Zell am See and St. Johann in Pongau can both be reached by car in 20 minutes or less. Dorf Gastein is a 25-minute drive away. The Sporthotel has a ski storage room with ski boot drying facilities, and ski passes can be bought on site. The local bus stops a 2-minute walk away. Cross country ski tracks are just 328 feet away, and a sled run can be visited in Bruck, a 5-minute drive away. Hiking and mountain biking are popular activities in the region. Paragliding, climbing, rafting and canyoning tours can be organized on site. Bicycles can be rented from the Sportpension.
