Sospel - Charming 3-rooms - Top floors

We would like to offer others the opportunity to use our vacation apartment in the old town of Sospel, a beautiful small town next to the national park Mercantour, 17 km away from Menton. The building itself is from the 16th or 17th century, while our apartment is of a newer date (less than 300 years old). All the rooms have been refurbished during the last 10 years.
The apartment is about 55-60 m2. The living room & kitchen:
A cosy living room with a sleeping sofa, a TV and a dining table seating 6. Nice view towards a small town square.
The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, an electric oven with grill and hot air programs, a micro wave, a refrigerator and freezer, Nespresso and regular coffeemaker, kitchen utensils and tableware. No dishwasher, though.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is newly refurbished after Scandinavian standards, and is easy to keep clean due to its wall hung toilet and shower solution. There is also a washing machine available.
Master bedroom:
The master bedroom is equipped with a 140 cm double bed. Its window is towards an enclosed backyard.
The attic bedroom:
This room is equipped with a single bed. This room is only available when you are 3 or more people. Its window has a view over the roofs.
Hallway:
Simple hallway where you may hang up shirts. This is also where towels and extra bedsheets can be found.
Cooling and heating:
The apartment is normally quite comfortable during the summer, and we have never felt the need for air conditioning (like we do in Menton). There is a fan available, though.
During the cold season, the bedrooms have electric panel ovens, the bathroom has electric heating in the floor and in the towel hangers. The living room and kitchen has a gas heater and a movable electric heater.
Please remember that water and electricity are scarce resources in Southern France, and that gas is a non-renewable product.
Water, gas and normal usage of electricity (up to 50 kW/day) is included in the price. We as a family of 4 spend around 20 kW/day here in the summer, 60 kW/day during the winter).
Above that, you will be charged 0.15€ /kW from April to November, and 0.30€ from December to March.
We do not live in Sospel ourselves, but we have a wonderful local who can help you on the spot.
We are, however, available by phone, if you need help in any way, including trying to make yourself understood in the local stores. (Not that many people in Sospel speak English)
The apartment is situated in a car free area less than 10 meters/yards from the main street. Next door is a vegetable vendor and a pizzeria, a bakery and two more restaurants are about 30 m away, and most other restaurants, delis and the village supermarket are within 2-3 min walk.
The library (mediatheque) is on the other side of the piazza outside our building.
Own car: Sospel has 2 big free parking places around 200-500 m from our apartment. There is a commercial electric charger (type 2) around 400 m away.
Train: The Train des Merveilles between Nice and Tende stops at Sospel. The train station is less than 1 km from the apartment.
Please be aware that there are often train strikes in France.
Bus: Zestbus Ligne 15 between Menton and Sospel

Bicycle: Sospel and its surrounding area is a mecca for VTT.
By foot: Everything in town is accesible by foot. As are the walking paths surrounding the town as well.
The apartment is at the top floor, situated 3 stairs up from street level. Some of the steps are quite high. If you bring an infant, you are adviced to bring a baby carrier so as not having to carry the child in your arms.
