Casa Vitiolo - left section - San Leo Description
Apartment in a stone farmhouse in a secluded spot in the valleys of Montefeltro 13 km from the historic center of the Republic of San Marino and 8 km from San Leo. The house is in the open countryside 4 km from the nearest amenities. The interiors were restored in 2022: painting, floors, fixtures, wooden docks, and an indoor coat
The space
The apartment is on the ground floor on the left wing of the house and is for the exclusive use of guests. Kitchen with everything you need to cook, a bathroom with shower and two bedrooms, a double and a single with a second pull-out bed. There are two outdoor dining tables in the loggia. The outdoor spaces and entrance are shared with any other guests.
Me or my family could stop by for short stops in front of the house. From the loggia you access the storage room where the washing machine and the clothesline are located. Possibility of barbecue outside.
I offer water and coffee and cooking essentials with extra virgin olive oil and salt.
There's a loving kitty who only eats her croquettes and isn't allowed to enter the house.
Guest access
All spaces are accessible apart from the right side of the ground floor and the upper floor that could be rented to other guests.
Electric vehicle charging is available (paid service)
Other things to note
Here are all the quirks you need to know before booking, some are the result of complaints received over the years from guests:
- Despite the cleaning and use of repellents, it happened to come across small insects. They are not dangerous but it is recommended not to leave the mosquito nets raised
- My uncle has his farm not far from the house and has two young large dogs, vaccinated and insured, locked in a fence but rarely leaves free for a run in the early morning and happens to approach the house. They don't usually bother people and if they scare away, but if you have a dog, be careful.
- It can happen in summer the passage of agricultural vehicles even in the early morning (6:00/6.30). If you're a light sleeper, it's not a good idea to leave the window open.
- The cell phone only takes a few places outside the house or leaning it against the windows of some windows only with TIM and Wind. However, there is a good adsl connection.
- The last stretch to get to the house (about 2km) is a country road (municipal), well paved, but narrow and less comfortable than urban streets, especially for the lack of visibility due to curves and bumps.
- The last 50 meters are on a private gravel road and downhill with 2 artificial bumps to allow the water to drain. It is not recommended to get off with scooters or road motorcycles. Overlooking and Thoughtful
- In front there are two uninhabited but completely stable and safe houses.
- During the day a few weeks of the year (fruit picking), you may hear in the distance the shooting of an automatic scare used by my uncle in the orchard below the house. You are willing to turn it off upon request upon request.
- In the laundry room you have a very affectionate kitten that you are willing to pamper yourself and eat only its cribs.
- The outdoor spaces are shared with any other guests and with me and my family. Sometimes my dad parks in front of the house and loves spending some time under the loggia and visiting his kitten. Me or my mom could stop by to fix or clean the common areas or the other apartment.
