Situated only 5 km from Kiruna, Máttaráhkká Northern Light Lodge offers beautiful mountain views. Facilities include a sauna, a hot tub and lounge with a fireplace. The lodge is ideal for guests wanting to experience activities such as cross-country skiing, snowmobile tours and for observing the Northern Lights. With décor inspired by traditional Sami art, all 7 double rooms at Máttaráhkká Northern Light Lodge include flat-screen TVs, seating areas and private bathrooms. Breakfast is included, and free tea and coffee with biscuits are offered throughout the day. Free cross-country skis and snow shoes are available on site as well as a ski storage room. During the summer and fall there is a helicopter at the lodge, helicopter tours and fishing trips can be arranged directly from the lodge. There is free on-site parking and during the winter it is possible to rent parking heaters.

In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property currently isn't accepting guests from certain countries, during dates where such guidelines exist. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform Máttaráhkká Northern Light Lodge in advance. Please note that payment takes place at check-in. The hot tub must be booked at least 1 day in advance. There is no restaurant. From 1 June to 1 October, there is helicopter traffic around the lodges. This might cause some disturbance.
