In spite of Mandarin & Mango's rural setting, a hire car is not strictly necessary, for there is a local taxi and the dolmus service (up to 9 times per day depending on the season), which serves both Oludeniz and Fethiye, can be flagged down. Those hiring a car or using local taxis can reach the sandy beach of Kidrak in around 10 minutes, whilst Kabak beach is a similar distance in a four-wheel drive vehicle (or a 5-minute drive plus 15 minute walk). Confident swimmers can bathe off the rocks at Aktas, aroundminutes walk away. Culture vultures will be in their element, as there is a wealth of fascinating historical sites to be explore within the scope of a day's outing, from the atmospheric ghost village of Kayakoy to ancient sites including Tlos, Pinara, Xanthos, Letoon, Patara and Cadyanda. . yet surprisingly easy to reach Bask in unashamed idleness. For those wishing to do no more than soak up the warm Turkish sun, marvel at the gorgeous views and enjoy the tranquil setting, Mandarin and Mango each have their own good-sized swimming pools, and there is also a large outdoor Jacuzzi at Mandarin.
