Gulabin Lodge nestles beneath the mighty Ben Gulabin in the south of the Cairngorms National Park. The property offers stunning views of the glen and surrounding mountains. Our ultra-low carbon biomass boiler provides underfloor heating to both floors and ample hot water. Our shared shower and toilet facilities are bright, clean and well-maintained. Guests can choose to relax either in the snug or the larger lounge. Both have stone walls, beamed ceilings and working fireplaces. Seasoned wood can be purchased on-site for those who would like to light a fire. Outside there is a raised terrace where guests can relax and enjoy a drink. The self-catering communal kitchen is a great space in which to create a hearty meal. The dining room offers comfortable seating and wonderful views of Gulabin's grounds with the hills beyond. If you don't fancy cooking for yourself, we're able to provide home-cooked meals as well as breakfast, but these must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Please contact us for pricing, which is based on the numbers being catered for. There is plenty of excellent walking on our doorstep, ranging from near-flat circuits in the beautiful surroundings of the glen through to steep climbs that afford grand views into the high mountains. We are on the Cateran Trail, a 52-mile circular walk and we welcome overnight stayers who are completing the hike. Glenshee Ski Centre is just a 10-minute drive and we offer ski hire in-season for an additional fee. The Glenshee Ski School offers lessons for the beginner and the more experienced skier. In summer, the Glenshee chairlift offers visitors the chance to experience the high mountains without all the hard work.

You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. Please note that all linens and beddings are included, towels are available at an extra cost of GBP 1 per person, per night. Ski hire needs to be booked in advance with the property. The property do not accept American Express cards for deposits or balance payments. Please be aware that meals are available if booked in advance.
