Our home is a two bedroom, pet friendly family home situated beside the River Wansbeck. It's a 5 minute walk from Morpeth Town Centre where you can find local shops and some lovely places to eat and drink. Morpeth is a great place to explore the rest of Northumberland from as there is so much to do and see in Northumberland.

The property has a kitchen which is equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances needed in a kitchen as well as a Tassimo coffee machine.

The kitchen leads into the living room which has 2 sofas, coffee table and a gas fire. Currently the gas fire is decommissioned as we are looking at purchasing a new one.

There is a two seater sofa bed and the other is a three seater sofa. The television is a 4K smart TV which means Netflix and other streaming services are available to be used during your stay. Please note the TV doesn't have an aerial for terrestrial TV.

There is a leaf folding dinning table that accommodates 4 people for meal times if eating in the property.

The french doors in the living room open into the garden which has a lovely area to sit in during your stay.The back garden is also secure and safe for pets to be in unattended.

Upstairs has a double bedroom which contains a double bed, dressing table a TV as well as plenty of storage space. There is a second bedroom with two single beds.

The bathroom has a shower and a bath for use.

Guests will have access to all areas of the property.

We live local to Morpeth, so we are on hand if there are any issues. If we are away during your stay we will pass on another contact number to use in case of any issues.

Morpeth is 14 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and only 8 miles from the coastline making it a perfect base for exploring the area.

There are several areas around Morpeth to explore nearby including Alnwick, Amble, Bamburgh, Warkworth and more.

Morpeth and Northumberland is great for dog walkers. There are so many beautiful places to take your dog when in the area. Morpeth is a very dog friendly town. There are several pubs and cafes that allow dogs. The Black and Grey and The Office pub along with Micah's tea room are dog friendly place to eat. Many retailers will put a sign in the window to indicate whether they are dog friendly or not.

Morpeth itself is a market town with excellent facilities including a leisure centre, a award winning park, golf course and tennis courts.

Shoppers can enjoy a variety of shops in Morpeth ranging from high street retailers to independent ones. Nearby we have the Intu Metrocentre which is every shoppers dream. There is food and drink facilities as well as a IMAX cinema.

Morpeth offers a great selection of restaurants, cafés and bars as well as a local Morrisons for those who wish to eat at home.

Every Wednesday Morpeth has a local market which is held in the town square. There is also a farmers market on the first Saturday of every month.

There are some great places to eat in Morpeth. Lollo Rosso and Barluga are two of our favourites. They both have websites so if you would like to try them during your stay i would recommend that you book ahead as they are very popular places to eat at a weekend. Those that are fans of a good breakfast, there are a few fantastic breakfast diners in Newcastle, Butterfly Cabinet and The Dispensary Coffee House are some of our favourite spots for breakfast. There is a market on a Sunday morning along the Quayside in Newcastle that is great for a wander on a Sunday morning.

The property is great for those looking for somewhere to stay for any weddings they are attending in the area.

Morpeth has great public transport links via its train station and bus station. There are regular trains and buses to Newcastle City centre and North to Alnwick and Berwick. Morpeth is situated just off the A1 which makes it a great base to use for exploring Northumberland.

The property has a small drive for a car and also on street parking. Permits not required.
