The Spencer Suite is a stylish two bedroom apartment fitted with everything you should need for a short or long stay. Vanbrugh Apartments are located along the Woodstock Road in the Oxford suburb known as North Oxford. Set back from the road, the apartments offer easy access into the city centre, in a quiet residential setting just a few minutes walk from local shops and the River Thames. -Fully fitted kitchen with appliances and utilities. -Living room there is a cozy dining area for four, and a comfortable sofa. -Bedroom one is an en suite standard double, furnished with built in wardrobes. -Bedroom two is also a standard double room with an en suite bathroom and built in wardrobes. NEIGHBOURHOOD A ten minute stroll takes you to Summertown, with its vibrant selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. On Sunday mornings, Summertown hosts a farmers market where you can buy a range of local goods, organic vegetables, English cheeses, and delicious prepared foods like paella, curries, and much more. Although Summertown can provide all your shopping needs, the centre of Oxford with many more shops, the colleges and all its rich history is only ten minutes away on one of the frequent buses down the Woodstock or Banbury Roads. As an alternative to the City Centre the popular enclave of Jericho is a 20 minutes walk away. For nature lovers it’s a 15 minute walk to Oxford’s Port Meadow, an ancient area of pasture next to the River Thames. Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds are a short drive or bus ride making it ideal for a weekend getaway exploring this charming cluster of English villages. TRAVEL AND PARKING There is a designated parking space for this apartment. This will be in your check in information prior to arrival. There is no visitor parking available at this property unfortunately, but there are space along Wyndham Way. By train Two stations serve the town; Oxford Town and Oxford Parkway. If you arrive at Oxford Town the S3 bus (Stop R5) or the 500 (Stop R1) will bring you pretty much directly to the apartment. Buses leave about every 20 minutes in the day. Get off at Squitchey Lane and you will be a couple of minutes walk away. If you arrive at Oxford Parkway the the Park & Ride 500 bus will bring you to Squitchey Lane otherwise its about £9 in a taxi.
