Welcome to The Travellers Rest. Situated in the picturesque, seaside town of Bicheno, our bnb is engulfed in nature and overlooks Diamond Island and the crystal clear beaches of the East Coast. Thoughtfully curated to make you feel at one with the surrounding landscape, our home has been designed to encourage relaxation, romance and exploration. We are a short 4 minute drive to town, 15 minutes to Douglas Apsley, 30 minutes to Freycinet & 25 minutes to the East Coast Wine Region.

The Travellers Rest is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that has been thoughtfully curated through objects, decor and furnishings celebrating craftsmanship of the past and present, showcasing local and Australian sourced products.
With exposed wooden beams, Huon Pine tree trunks running through the centre of the house and a romantic wood burner fire, this cozy and charming home exudes character and reflects the surrounding environment with it's natural characteristics bringing the outside, in.
The house is situated a short 4 minute drive out of town, conveniently located close to local shops and cafes while also offering privacy and the feeling of a quiet retreat with only one neighbouring property.
The living room, kitchen and master bedroom have unique and captivating views overlooking Diamond Island while the rest of the property overlooks the wilderness. The house is surrounded by wildlife including the famous fairy penguins across the road and you can often spot echidnas, wombats, deers, birds and whales out one of the windows.

Travellers Rest is a great base from which to explore the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. Visit iconic vineyards, breweries, world renowned National Parks or just hang out in Bicheno and play a round of golf or bowls. Enjoy the local beaches, ocean and community.
A stroll along the foreshore track will take you into the town of Bicheno, where all your essential needs can be met by supermarket, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants and gift shops.
A couple of minutes by car and you can fuel up, or walk to the beachfront pub!
