Dawn is a quaint piece of paradise, you will be happy to stay for the week! Guests enjoy 2 Queen bedrooms each with a private ensuite bathroom. If the kids are coming or you are a mature group of friends ask us to split the Queen bed into two singles.
Dawn's cute and cosy rooms will welcome you back from a day spent exploring the quaint downtown area of Daylesford. After your long walk down central springs road and through an eclectic mix of shops on Vincent St, come home to relax in one of Dawn Cottage's many comfortable spaces
This holiday home has all the necessities and more. The fully equipped kitchen is combined with the functional dining and you can relax after your long journey to Daylesford in the front lounge/living area by the gas fireplace.
You are welcomed first by the living and lounge area where you can enjoy your favourite TV show with complimentary NETFLIX, on a large-screen television. Air conditioning is absolutely essential in the hot summers of Daylesford. Gas heating keeps you warm and cozy during those cold winter months, too! There's off-street parking for your car, bike or scooter.
Couples, Parents with kids, and up to four friends seeking a comfortable homely vacation in Daylesford will keep coming back to dawn. The home is not pet friendly so Pooch and Pets will need to find alternative accommodation.
Check-in and check out is contactless with key collection at the property via lockbox. On the day of arrival, we will send you the lockbox code between 2pm and 3pm to your messenger or email.
Guests can park on the property in the grass driveway set to the left of the property when facing the front door. There is off-street parking available in this wide section of duke street
Dawn is just a 2-minute walk from the centre of Daylesford, the concrete pathway/council footpath begins at the next intersection on the Dawns side of the road.
Upon confirming a reservation guests will receive a reservation confirmation message with our contact number, it is also accessible via a wifi calling platform.

We try our best to help you resolve any issue remotely, We can organise a call out to the property should you need assistance with something. While we have a target to respond to guests calls within 15mins, it may take longer to resolve. Generally we should have someone available within 2-6 hours 9am and 7pm and within 6-12 hours between 7pm and 9am. A call-out fee may apply for issues such as guest locks outs.
Located about 2 hours from Melbourne, Daylesford is Australia's spa capital located within the Hepburn Shire - Often referred to as spa country its a super trendy town that warmly welcomes all local and international travellers.
Here are a few ideas for things to do and see in Daylesford, Vic :
**Daylesford has a number of very popular day spas - Our top popular picks are The Hepburn Bath House and Spa, The Mineral Spa, and The Lake House Spa - You can find treatments that include steam baths, manicure and pedicure, body wraps, exfoliation and facial massage. You may even get the chance to try some of Daylesford Vic's award-winning spa products from local providers and natural therapists.
**Take a walk in our many national parks and trails all in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. Complete with running waterfalls Lake Daylesford is a great place to start. Take a winding loop around the Locarno Mineral Springs and be sure to take some empty water bottles so you can collect and compare mineral water available to hand pump along the trails. Some mineral springs are naturally carbonated! Another favourite long hiking track is around the Dry Diggings Track off Hepburn-Newstead Rd and out towards the blow hole.
** You'll find amazing wildflower species, kangaroos, echidnas and possibly even emu birds too. For bird lovers, watch the swarms of Corella's, Rosellas, Kookaburras and Cockatoos fly about the lake and district. Cara is also known to host the Pied Currawong, Grey Shrikethrush and some guests have even spied a Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo and a Gang-gang Cockatoo.
**There are plenty of other activities on offer, including camping, rock climbing, riding, golf and kayaking. The two main caravan parks offer a hive of activities for visitors too! Families traveling with kids should check out the Daylesford community Park Play ground and Skate park on Standridge st, its close by to Thomas's lookout too, The park itself has a great adventure playground, and lots of wide open spaces.
**If you are game to go off road and its not too wet Lerderdeg track is a short mostly dirt track close by that might be fun to explore in the family 4x4 too. There are plenty of similar off road tracks around Daylesford, most of which are accessible via online maps so you can plan your adventure.
**If food wine and art are you thing, you need not travel far - Passing clouds is a must see winery or you can place your food and wine tour needs in the hands of Daylesford Wine Tours. Travelrite international also has a number of garden, food, beer and wine tours too.

If you are visiting for a 2-night weekend trip, Daylesford can be busy with more traffic than usual during the peak Friday/Saturdays and school holidays - as it is a very popular holiday and day trip location.
Check out Bridport streets off-street parking if you are driving up to the supermarket, there is also a thoroughfare from the supermarket to the main street if parking is an issue. Central Springs Rd and Duke Street also offer off-street parking close by with a short walk back to the action.
The local Taxi service is very reliable, however we highly recommend booking in advance especially during peak times such as holidays and weekends. Uber/Didi/Ola do not have regular drivers in the area.
CFA/Bridport St bus stop service is limited but right across from coles.
Creswick is the closest train station,
Airport shuttlebus service drops off in Ballan & Ballarat - each stop is approx 45mins away from Daylesford.
Hepburn is bicycle-friendly, bringing them to Daylesford is a great idea if you're keen on an active weekend of exploration or even a lazy stroll and coast around the lake.
Guests can choose to have either a Queen Bed or 2 single beds in each bedroom. The standard property is set up is 2x Queen beds. Guests need to provide their bedding set-up 10 days before arrival via our online check in form (or by calling us) A linen change fee may be required to change setup of linen after this time.
In winter months/rain season the front driveway area and median strip can become muddy or water logged.
Gas Log Fireplace - Please do not unplug the fan for the gas log fireplace or turn out the pilot light. A call-out fee may be required for assistance to reignite.
Black and Herbal Tea, Instant Coffee, Milk and Coffee Pods (Nespresso) & sugar are provided for your arrival.
WIFI & Netflix is provided as a complimentary service - we are unable to guarantee the availability or reliability of WIFI and associated services like Netfix. The wifi code will be provided prior to check in, shuold you have any issues with mobile reception at check in please connect to the wifi and call us via the wifi calling app.

MenuLog/UberEats/DoorDash do not currently have restaurants available in our area, however there are some home delivery options available and the local taxi service can be called for food pickup and delivery too!
Guests are expected to clean the BBQ after use. While every attempt is made to ensure that there is gas available should the bottle run out please contact us and we will reimburse you for the cost of a swap an go replacement.
Please check that you have all your items on departure as we are unable to securely store items left behind.
The home is not pet friendly so Pooch and Pets will need to find alternative accommodation. Pets attract a deep cleaning fee from 250
