It's the perfect base from which to explore the Gold Coast with buses, taxis and uber and rental car options all available, as well as the light rail, which connects to the major train line.
A short drive, tram ride north and you can visit popular theme parks or drive inland and enjoy a winery tour in the stunning hinterland. iconic Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere with amazing views, you can even enjoy a canal ride through the Gold Coast waterways...the list of activities is endless!

Surfers Paradise is the main spot on the Gold Coast for fun family activities and entertainment, good food and wine, and surf beaches. It's the best base from which to explore the Gold Coast, as it has fantastic travel options, such as the light rail, which connects to the train line, and buses heading out in all directions, as well as cab ranks, Ubers, and rental car options.
Head north to the popular theme parks, or inland on a winery tour in the surrounding hinterland, or visit the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, which is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, or enjoy a canal ride through the Gold Coast waterways.
The local cafés, restaurants and shopping precincts are all near this building. There is plenty to keep the family entertained with pristine surf beaches across the road, trams and buses nearby (taking you to Broadbeach, Southport, GC airport, Brisbane, etc), the Star Casino, Gold Coast Convention Centre, Pacific Fair shopping centre (one of Queensland's biggest and best shopping centres) and the Oasis Shopping Centre.
You can walk everywhere from this central location, you also have the main Broadbeach tram (light rail) and bus station nearby. The light rail and buses can connect you to the Queensland rail line which takes you express to Brisbane, and Brisbane airport. You can also book a shuttle bus transfer to and from the Airport with Skybus. They will pick you up and drop you off conveniently to your accommodation.
There are taxi ranks nearby and plenty of Uber cars serving the area too.
