Over the years i have learned that Pratunam area is top choice among Southeast asian families (Singaporean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Philippines and so). I would advise potential visitors to Thailand who are coming from the West & Russia to look into Khaosan or Sukhumvit area, unless they are familiar with Pratunam and actually intend to stay in this area then its most welcome.
