"Ruen Thai" means a house that influenced the character of an authentic old Thai style. Every detail has been designed to compromise between the form and function to adapt to the weather in Thailand, especially for this Ruen Thai where one talented constructor beautifully creafted an old Rice Barn to create a perfect local northern home. This beautifully designed Ruen Thai makes you feel like an escape from reality and relive the old times of a northern Thai local house.
The house is 1 of the 2 houses located within the homestay called Ban MaeBo Local Stay. You will have entire areas around the house, full privacy which is perfect for couples or groups of 4 people. The bedroom shown in the picture will have 2 singles next to each bed that is connected to an ensuite bathroom. A massive inner living room that portrays a "Lanna" northern-style home. The house also comes with an outdoor downstairs living area where you can relax and absorb the vibe of authentic local Chiangmai.
You will only be sharing parking spaces and a breakfast area. You will have your own complete privacy space separated by a lobby in the middle of another guest house. There is a private entrance that leads to the house. In the lobby, we sell food, drinks, ice and free water so you can come and go as you please until 10.00 pm.
The guests will have their full privacy during their stay. All the service will be served right up to your doorstep. If you cannot find the host at the lobby, you can reach us by text or call on this site or an app that will be provided later.
The property is 1 of the 2 houses, located within a homestay called Ban MaeBo Home Stay. You will find yourself in the peaceful local area of Maejo which is away from the streets and people. You will see locals enjoying their lives while surrounded by nature. The house is only 20 minutes by car to the city centre, so if you like a little escape from the vibrant vibes, this is the place for you.
We have two bikes for guests to cycle around the neighbourhood. For your benefit, we recommend renting your own car from the airport. However, we have transportation services such as airport pickup, to the city centre or around Chiangmai but you have to pay for them yourself.
Ban Maebo Local Stay (the property) is located in the middle between the city centre(20 minutes away) and the upper area of Chiangmai where many famous locations lie.

We serve optional Northen-style Breakfast and Dinner (book in advance).
