	F1) Five Hilltribe Villages + Elephant Ride + Bamboo Rafting Available all year. Normally leaves around 10am. If on Tuesday it will include a 30min market stop. The day consists of the following .. Drive from Chiang Dao Nest to an area about 20 mins away. The order of the day changes but will include a visit to 5 different hilltribes. These are a Karen, Akha, Lisu (slightly confusingly there is no clear gap between the Akha and Lisu villages), Palaung, and a very small Lahu settlement. There will be a 1 hour walking trek during the day from Palaung to Akha village. Additionally there will be a 40 min elephant ride. And also a 60 min bamboo rafting journey. (this is a gentle float down the river not whitewater) This tour usually ends back at Chiang Dao Nest around 3pm (not quite a full day - but there's always the option of being dropped at the cave or walking to the temple when you return)

The guides / drivers for this tour are local and have very limited English. They can take you around, and look after you, and have some fun but will not be able to answer questions offer any cultural information. N.B. As with any elephant and rafting set up, they have to have a certain number of customers to make them viable as a business. While we definitely cannot say that you won't see other foreigners, we can say that the villagers whose services we use, operate on a much smaller scale than most of the other set ups in North Thailand. N.B. The villages on this trip are real, but they do get quite a number of visitors. The ladies from the villages can be quite persistent with their selling which some may find annoying, but to put it into perspective, they do not have many other options for making a living.
	F2) One Day Lisu Hilltribe Trek. - Experience the Lisu lifestyle - Enjoy great hospitality - Stunning mountain views - Explore a remote cave - Nature walks - Visit a beautiful waterfall - Very few visitors 9.30 am Leave Chiang Dao Nest. Drive for about 40 mins into the neighbouring National Park (mostly uphill) in the back of a pick-up (paved road) enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding forest and mountains We will walk to the nearby forest in the heart of the National Park,where we will visit a beautiful waterfall, and an extensive cave. We will eat lunch in the village. During your visit you will gain a small but fascinating insight into Lisu lifestyle. Back to Chiang Dao Nest around 5pm. This involves around 4 hours of walking throughout the day, so reasonable levels of fitness/ agility are required.

	F3) Chiang Dao National Park - Waterfall + Burmese Style Temple (with great views) + Hot Spring Chiang Dao National Park covers 1248 square kms. It is ruggedly mountainous with fertile natural forest. The streams are the headwater to the Mae Ping River. It is home to some rare animals and plants. This day we will visit some of the natural attractions and walk the nature trail.

Full Day Activities
	A1) Wat Tham Pha Phlong - Nature Trail - Chiang Dao Cave From Chiang Dao Nest it is under 1km to the foot of Wat tham Pha Phlong, a beautiful forest / mountain temple. The temple itself is up 520 steps. The concrete steps rise up through thick forest and afford amazing views of the surrounding nature. The temple was once home to a highly revered monk.
On the way back towards Chiang Dao Nest you will see a sign on the right side of the road indicating the start of the Nature Trail. This is a path, about 3km in length, through thick forest, which goes up and over a hill ending at Chiang Dao Cave. Price The only costs are 20 Baht per person entrance to Chiang Dao Cave, and 100 Baht for a guide in the cave.
	A2) Chiang Dao Nest - One Day Cycling / Mountain Biking Tour Chiang Dao Nest can provide you with a rough map for a fun-filled full day on/off road tour of the local area. Highlights of the day will be a rarely-visited hot spring, and two stunning waterfalls.
For the very energetic this can be combined with a visit to the hilltribes detailed above in F1. (For the less energetic this can form a second day's cycling). Price Chiang Dao Nest rents out Mountain Bike's for 200 Baht per day. (Advanced booking advised). Chiang Dao Nest packed lunch available.
	A3) Bird Watching / Birding on Doi Luang Chiang Dao Chiang Dao Nest can arrange for a 4 Wheel Drive to collect you at around 6.00am to drive you for around 2 hours up a terrible dirt track one of Thailand's most special birding spots,Den Ya Khat or DYK as it is known. Sunrise is the best time to see specialities such as the Giant Nuthatch and Mrs. Hume's Pheasant. Return time is your choice, but we recommend leaving around 2.30pm as the birds are usually quiet after this time. It also gives you a chance to get back down to Wat Tham Pha Phlong for pre-sunset birding.
Price Price for 1 person 1900 Baht Please add 400 Baht for each additional person. Price Includes - National Park Entrance Permit - Transport to DYK and back in a 4 Wheel Drive - Packed Breakfast - an Egg and Bacon Roll, and flask of Tea or Coffee. - Packed Lunch - Tuna Sandwich, Crisps, Fruit, Biscuits. - Water (2 bottles each) For the casual birder (if there is such a thing!) We have binoculars + Craig Robson's Thailand Birds Book for rent for 180 Baht per day.
